ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to demonstrate that control of the resources of the camera allows you to create different visual narratives for the same subject, representations that lead to different meanings. We tried to show the possibilities of constructing meaning from the notions of aesthetic and technical teams from each photographer. To this was considered part of the work of documentary photographer Walker Evans, who during the years 1938 and 1945 recorded images of the New York subway. The selected photographs from Evans images were produced by users of the subway in Belo Horizonte, a proposal that focused on moving scenes seeking to express the rush of daily life of these people.
